This institution was founded at the heart of Payyanur, which is blessed by the sacred presence of the Master of Astrology, Payyanur Perumal in 1951. The founder of this institution is Ganita Jyothisha Chakravarty Jyothirbhooshanam Pandit Shri V.P.K. Poduval, a highly respected astrologer in India.
Shri. Poduval is the Grand Master of both branches of Astrology viz. "Ganita Jyothisha" and "Phala Nirnaya", and has excelled in these fields. While being conferred on him the title of 'Jyotirbhushanam' at Ayodhya, in the grand Samskrita Jyothisha conference Shri.Poduval was only twenty five years in age. At the age of thirty the national award of 'Pandit' instituted by the Government of India was conferred on him.
