People insist on the need for both Gurukula education and English education. To preserve the rich traditions of Sanskrit and astrology without letting them fade away, V.P.K Poduval established a Sanskrit and Astrology school years ago at his own expense, in such a way that he could see it flourish before his eyes forever.
Jyothissadanam has an array of alumni. Having acquired profound knowledge in the subject they pursue the profession of astrology. Students here get gurukula eduction free of cost. Facilities for self studies are also provided. Besides theoretical studies opportunity for practical studies is also provided. The students who go out from here after completion of studies will be well versed not only in Astrology but also in Sanskrit literature. Apart from Astrology, courses in Sanskrit primary lessons, Kovid, and Teachers’ Training were also conducted in this institution. Shri.(Late) Vidwan A.K.Krishnan Master and Vyakrana Shiromani Shri.
